Manager Bio

John Chipman, Jr. has helped people with their moving and storage needs since the early 1980s. Starting as a warehouse janitor during high school, John has worked as positions, including helper, packer, driver, sales representative and general manager. . He currently serves on the board of directors for the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA), the largest mover trade organization in the U.S., and is the Chairman of the International Committee. John is an AMSA Certified Moving Consult. John is also a Certified Relocation Professional by the Economic Relocation Council. A graduate of the University of the Pacific (BA & JD), John has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1991. In his leisure time, he enjoys running and bicycle riding in the Oakland-Berkeley Hills. John makes his home in Alameda with his wife, daughter and two young sons. Vera Spears joined Chipman in 1990 as a customer service coordinator. Vera specializes in helping families and business transferees with each step of the move process. For example, Vera can make arrangements for an in-home survey of the goods to be packed and moved. She can also make arrangements for packing, loading and delivery dates.
